Hand-painted French Lidded Tureen by Gien

This lovely piece of French ceramic history was made by the famous company Gien between 1886 and 1938 (consistent with the mark used underneath the tureen). The pattern is called Bruno and it will make any store-bought soup feel like an ancient family recipe!

This tureen is in good condition, without any chips or cracks. There is light crackling on the outside of the tureen and heavier crackling paired with some discolouration on the inside. There is also a small mark on the lid of the tureen, but this occurred during production as it is under the glaze.
