Love & Friendship Modal Gown in Claret *PRE-ORDER*

This gown is based on the original 19th century toile de Jouy fabric of our bedroom's antique bed crown, titled "L’Amour et l’Amitié" (Love and Friendship)

This toile de Jouy depicts Cupid and Father Time, each taking turns rowing a small boat, accompanied by the phrases "Love makes Time pass" and "Time makes Love pass". A third vignette with a young woman, joined by her dog representing faithfulness, is perched next to the words "Friendship doesn't fear Time", showing the importance and longevity of friendship in any relationship.
